Symptoms: BMC Clock Skew - Certificate Failure

  • The iLO/BMC web interface on infra-mgmt-11 (HPE ProLiant DL360 Gen10) throws certificate errors.
  • All browsers show "NET::ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID" when accessing the iLO web UI.
  • Redfish API calls via curl fail with "SSL certificate problem: certificate is not yet valid."
  • The iLO is reachable (ping works, SSH to iLO works with host key warning).
  • Automated monitoring scripts that use the Redfish API stopped collecting data from this server 4 days ago.
  • The host OS is running normally; its clock is correct and synced via NTP.
  • The server was powered off for 3 weeks during a datacenter power upgrade and rebooted 5 days ago.
  • The iLO has a self-signed certificate that was generated when the server was first provisioned.
