Questions: Firmware Update Boot Loop

• Was the BIOS update verified as complete, or could it have been interrupted mid-flash?
• Did the boot mode change from UEFI to Legacy (or vice versa) as part of the update?
• Are the boot order settings intact, or were they reset to defaults by the firmware update?
• Is Secure Boot enabled, and could the new firmware have changed Secure Boot keys?
• Does the BMC event log show any hardware errors (memory training failure, PCIe errors)?
• Was a BIOS settings backup taken before the update, and can previous BIOS version be restored?
• Is the RAID controller / NVMe boot device still visible in POST?
• Are there any pending firmware updates for other components (RAID controller, NIC) that are now incompatible?
• Can the server boot from rescue media (USB/virtual media) to validate the OS disk is intact?
• What exact steps did the admin follow, and did they deviate from the runbook?
