Symptoms: iDRAC Unreachable, OS Up¶
- Server
app-web-22(Dell PowerEdge R640) has an unreachable iDRAC management interface. - The host OS (Ubuntu 22.04) is running normally -- SSH works, services are healthy.
- iDRAC IP
10.50.1.122does not respond to ping, HTTPS, or SSH from the management VLAN. - The issue was noticed during a routine health check. Last known iDRAC access was 5 days ago.
- iDRAC is configured on a dedicated management NIC (not shared with the OS).
- Other servers on the same management VLAN/switch are reachable.
- No network changes or firmware updates have been performed recently.
- The server is in a remote datacenter -- physical access requires a 2-hour drive or a remote hands request.
