Questions to Determine¶
- Is the iLO dedicated NIC or shared NIC being used? Is it configured correctly (speed, duplex)?
- Is there packet loss or high latency on the management network path to this specific iLO?
- Is the iLO NIC running at the expected speed (1Gbps) or has it auto-negotiated to 100Mbps or 10Mbps?
- Are there switch port errors (CRC, runts, collisions) on the port where the iLO NIC is connected?
- Is the iLO firmware up to date? Are there known bugs with the current version?
- Is the iLO under resource pressure (too many concurrent sessions, active media mount)?
- Is there a network duplex mismatch between the iLO NIC and the switch port?
- Could there be an IP conflict with another device on the management VLAN?
- Is the management VLAN experiencing broadcast storms or excessive traffic?
